What's the coolest movie scene of all time?

Everybody has a favorite movie scene, but what's the "coolest" movie scene you've ever seen? The creature bustin' through that poor guy's stomach in Alien, the strut-walkin-scene from Reservoir Dogs, Samuel Jackson's epic "I'm tired of these *** ***** planes" banter from Snakes on a Plane? The selection is nearly limitless! So, what's your pick for "coolest movie scene ever", and what makes it the coolest? Where were you when you first saw it, and what was your initial reaction? I can't wait to see everyone's top pick!

I usually answer this question with something funny or something tragic or a scene that has a little bit of both but this time I really looked back on the movies I have seen and thought about what is important to me, where these ideas began, and where I could see these things reflected in any of the movies I have seen.

The idea of good vs bad karma, good vs bad deeds, success over failure, triumph through unimaginable adversity, and the truths behind how all of these are intertwined first came to me while watching The Color Purple and the scene that brought this all together in my mind was this one.

"Until you do right by me everything you even think about gonna fail"

being good to people = cool

The train wreck scene from "The Fugitive" (though the video clip below doesn't do it justice; definitely try to see it on a big screen).

We were in the movie theater the first time we saw it. No special occasion, just going to the movies. We were so blown away by the special effects, timing, editing and thrill of the train wreck scene, we bought our own copy as soon as it was released just to play this scene in slow motion. Even slow every inch of it is as real as you could imagine.

From a "message" perspective, Harrison Ford does an outstanding job of playing a morally decent, yet determined man's man who's not afraid to fight for family and right, but never loses his ability to use his brain. A great role model for young men.

It's still a favorite that gets watched year after year, if not more.

I'm going with Scarface in "Say hello to my little friend", the ending. When I was a child, I wasn't allowed to watch this movie. My aunt had it, and we would sneak and watch it. What kid hasn't repeated those lines while playing with toy guns? I don't won't my child to see it, and I really don't want him playing with guns.

Video has music, not the audio from the movie.

The end of the movie White Heat when James Cagney is at the top of the oil tank on flames just before it blows and is yelling top of the world ma! Top of the world! And he shoots and the whole thing blows. Sorry I don't know how to bring things into the post.

"The sex part always gets in the way." When Harry Met Sally. 1989, I was in college, perhaps saw it on cable that summer at home, I don't remember. My first reaction was "Son of a birch, he is SO right."

They became good friends and wound up in bed and confused about the whole thing. I will watch the movie again and again because the scene summed up life for me at the time--a 19-year-old college kid. And I still jokingly refer to it as "life's big theory."

The first would be the ending of Shawshank Redemption, when he found the stone wall. And the coolest scene from a romantic film would be when Clint Eastwood was driving, looking through the rear vision mirror, in anticipation.I'll always remember those scenes.
