Philadelphia have a number of festivals all throughout the year but no one can match Philadelphia's Mumbers Parade, which takes place annually during New Year's Day, January 1. Mummers Parade earned this moniker since parade participants often had themselves being painted covering almost all parts of the body. The highest ever recorded number of visitors to mummers parade, were placed at 2 million during the year 1940, with a parade route having a distance of 4 kilometers.
