What's the best way to track down a package which was supposedly delivered? The USPS is no help.
How can I find it? What do I do if it's actually lost? Can I recoup the money somehow?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Good luck! I hope you find it. I know the usps can be very unreliable. Just to let you know in the future you can purchase insurance for $1.70 if the package is valued at less then $50.
I sell a lot on Ebay

M$Different companies have different ways of dealing with the * lost in the mail * issue. They might send out a replacement, they might send a refund, they might say their records say you received it, in which case you just have to argue untill they send out a replacement.
So definitly contact the company you ordered it from before you try anything else.
- Work at a company that sells items over phone, and delivers threw USPS

Insurance really is key when sending regular post:

If the item was shipped anything other then cheap standard post, USPS may have more information on the package.
