Also, have an RSS feed option for the newsletter. I'm very selective about any subscription that comes to an e-mail address. I try too keep my e-mail for items that are personally directed at me as opposed to general audience subscriptions.

M$You may have daily updates that go into great detail but I prefer an RSS feed with subjects only.
You may have many topics that are all related but I'm only interested in Solar at this time. It would be nice to subscribe to that topic in full form but RSS headers for other topics at the bottom.
Link coupons and special offers for alternative energy incentive programs and from local (to the subscribers location) businesses. That would also be a way to make money for you to support your work.
