What's the best way to get a reduction in APR rates from Dell Financial Services?
I bought a home computer from Dell and financed it with them. The rate was 0% for 18 months. I paid and paid on this computer for the 18 months and only owed about 300 bucks when the 18 months was up. I was under the assumption that after this time, the APR of almost 30% would only apply to the $300. They added it for the entire cost of the computer, for the whole 18 months, which was more than I owed.
I was outraged, but they would only remove 50.00 off that. So now my bill is about 800 bucks with 30% APR. Are there any known method for negotiating with Dell Financial Services?
