What's the best way to access your cash whilst abroad? use your bank's Visa card and cop the 2% exchange fee, or use cashpassport.com.au?

Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

If you are buying another currency, then you will always have the exchange fee, because prices for buying and selling currency always have that differential. I really don't see any advantage over using your own personal bank card, as there is a monthly fee associated with the cashpassport card and you still have to pay ATM fees, which vary, depending on where you go on your vacation.
