Whats the best tv series to get into on dvd?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

For a long-lasting show, I'd say Northern Exposure. When it was first on television I didn't see it, but after catching a few rerun episodes some years after it ended, I became interested. Then when they got all the seasons on DVD I eventually bought the set. Rob Morrow, John Corbett, Janine Turner and Barry Corbin are beyond fantastic in their roles! I love the unusual nature of the storylines and the very compelling, offbeat characters that make it worth watching over and over again. There's a reason this show received so many nominations and impressive awards, and why it has a following to this day.

For a shorter one, My So-Called Life is right up there too. I've been impressed with Claire Danes ever since. The fact that this show ended so quickly, after only 19 episodes, is a true shame. The DVD set I got came in a nice box including a booklet of photos and comments. The episode "So-Called Angels" is one of the most moving and well-acted things I've ever seen.

Family Guy...always makes me laugh....Plus I like how they touch on certain political or worldly issues that may be stressing yet allows you to let out a chuckle.

There are a lot, but I'll guess I'll go for the best show on T.V. Breaking Bad is just a great show, and if you haven't seen it, you should check it out on DVD.

I quite enjoyed Battlestar Galactica. The recent series was intriguing and I had to watch the lot of it. It has great character development and interesting situations.

It really honestly depends on what your personal interests are. A Tv series could be gripping when it comes on TV the first time. But to want to own the DVDs so you can watch them again and again, you really must have a genuine interest

The best show to watch on DVD in my opinion is Lost.

I've been watching it since the beginning, and this last summer I rented it on DVD just to refresh my memory of everything that has happened before the final season begins next year. And I found that there was a lot that I missed or didn't pick up on the first time around. It's one of those shows that has so many characters and so many things going on, that's it makes it so much easier to follow the show when watching it on DVD so that you can watch all the episodes back to back.

I highly recommend watching Lost on DVD if you haven't already done so.
