What's the best time to go skiing and ice-skating in New York?

I love skiing and ice-skating and would like to do some on my upcoming vacation to New York. Where can I find more information on places where I can do these sports in and around New York? Will it be expensive?
Tip for best answer: M$1.00

Wintertime in New York appears to be the best time for skiing and ice skating. Normally, ski places have promos for the sport to be done. Belleayre Mountain is a recommended place. You can experience great skiing from 7 am until 5 pm daily. When you feel like riding the lift, you can do so between 9 am and 4 pm. During the Winter Festival Week, the tickets are more affordable.

Gore Mountain Ski Resort can serve you from 8.30 am to 4 pm daily. They have 77 trails to challenge you as you ski and 12 lifts to bring you off the ground when you get tired. It is a family-friendly ski resort in the Adirondack Mountains. At Greek Peak Mountain Resort, there are 32 exciting trails for you to experience and it has been serving for more than 50 years.
