I used to work in an environment that was extremely cold, and I had to wear heels with hosiery. I used to slip on socks when I was at my desk, and when I got up and people could see, I would slip them off quickly before I got up and put on my heels. My male colleague knew and thought it was funny, especially when I was called somewhere quickly and I’d be hopping around putting on my heels to run off. So one year when he got me in the office pool, he bought me a little space heater to put under my desk to keep my feet and legs warm. Sounds stupid, but it was so thoughtful of him because it was something that I really made use of.
