What's the best month of the year to have a wedding in Southern CA and why?

January, February and March can be rainy, and if you want to have it outdoors, then that could be a problem. June would be nice for an evening wedding, but near the coast there is "June gloom"--a marine layer that doesn't burn off until late in the day, if ever. July, August and September can be extremely hot, but again, an evening wedding could work well during those months.
If the wedding is on the beach, I'd pick May or October for the quality of light, even though it might be chillier. If you want to get married in the mountains, don't plan it for the fall or winter because there can be wildfires during those months. The desert wouldn't be a good idea in the hot summer months, but other times of year would be lovely.
Hope that answer helps!

M$Also good to keep in mind are times of the year when lots of people take time off anyway (part of the reason summer months are so popular) so it will be less burdensome for your guests to attend. However, if you consider that many of your guests might be coming from somewhere cold, getting them to come to sunny Southern California in the middle of winter might not be too hard of a sell ;)

That's a really well thought out answer. Bottom line, you can't go wrong in SoCal. There are just so many amazing locations. It's really more a matter of figuring out how many folks you want to have, your budget and what style of wedding you want. I think keeping it small and having it somewhere outdoors is amazing.
