What's the best iPad application for taking notes in class?

I'm looking for the best app that will let me seamlessly go back and forth between typing something and making a sketch. I prefer typing over handwriting for the text, but when I need to draw a simple diagram I'd love to be able to sketch.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Try notes plus. It can handle both tasks that you need. Check out the video that is provided below. This application is highly rated in the iTunes App store by consumers and it one of the top 20 iPad applications.

Notes Plus has voice recording capability that you can use while, at the same time, you are typing or hand-writing notes. You can add drawings. You can format and organize the notes and sync it with Google Docs. There are many options that you can customize to suit your note-taking style.

I use two three main apps when using my iPad at school. The first is iannotate. I use it to make notes on already made PDFs which professors have already made. The second is Notetaker HD. This is what I use for handwritten notes. You can choose a paper type (lined or grid) to write on. It allows you to export as PDF or jpeg. The third is dropbox. It syncs with iannotate and is the housing for all my notes. I choose it since it keeps my iPad and computer in sync. Plus it can have local storage.
