It's far to early to figure out who will win the Stanley Cup. The top contenders thus far in each conference are the Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, Washington Capitals, Montreal Canadiens, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers and Tampa Bay Lightning in the eastern conference. In the western conference the top teams are the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, Dallas Stars and Vancouver Canucks. If I had to make a prediction I'd say the Cup winner will be either the Red Wings, the Stars, the Penguins or the Flyers.

Right now, the best team in the NHL for my money is the Detroit Redwings who have roared out to a 17-4 start in the Western Conference. The Washington Capitals are a close second as they have a solid 18-7 record right now.
