Stephen King has a huge amount of books. Many of them are really great, including: The Stand, The Shining, Insomnia, Hearts in Atlantis, and Misery. In my opinion, though, his best book(s) would be the books in The Dark Tower Series: The Gunslinger, The Drawing of the Three, The Wastelands, The Wizard and Glass, The Wolves of the Calla, Song of Susannah, and The Dark Tower.
The Dark Tower series is Stephen King's magnum opus. It took him over twenty years to write and is an epic fantasy series. This series is well written, full of extremely real characters, and has a great story. The Dark Tower series is connected to over fifty of Stephen Kings other works in many ways. Essentially, it is the center of the world Stephen King creates in his novels, novellas, and short stories.
