What's the best 44-46 inch flat screen LED HDTV with less than 3/4 inch bezels?

Tip for best answer: M$2.35
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

CNet.com offers a selection of the best HDTVs in the size range you're looking for (actually this is for 43"-49", which contains the size range you asked about, but most entries seem to be about 46") at http://reviews.cnet.com/4370-6485_7-168-113.html?tag=rb_content;contentNav .

In that list, they specify the following as some of the best LED TVs.

- Samsung UN46B8500 for about $2000 has a 4-star editor rating "It costs a mint, but Samsung's local dimming, LED-based UNB8500 series delivers the best picture quality of any LCD we've tested." (http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/samsung-un46b8500/4505-6482_7-33740175.html )

- Sony Bravia KDL-46NX800 for about $2300 has 3.5 stars editor rating "Despite a picture that won't wow sticklers, Sony's edge-lit LED-based NX800 sets a high bar for its beautiful design and well-executed features." (http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/sony-bravia-kdl-46nx800/4505-6482_7-33955672.html )

- LG 47LH90 for about $1400 has a 3.5 star editor rating and a 3.5 star user rating "Deep black levels and accurate color help propel the LED-backlit LG LH90 series into the front row of the LCD picture quality class." (http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/lg-47lh90/4505-6482_7-33485570.html )

- Samsung UN46B8000 for about $1700 has 3.5 star editor rating and 3.5 star user rating "The expensive, stylish Samsung UNB8000 series has its share of picture quality drawbacks, but a firmware update helps, and the thin frames are worth serious bragging rights." (http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/samsung-un46b8000/4505-6482_7-33490417.html )

- Samsung UN46B7000 for about $1700 has 3.5 star editor rating and 3.5 star user rating "Although its picture quality can't quite live up to the high price, the Samsung UNB7000 series is a technological and design tour de force." (http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/samsung-un46b7000/4505-6482_7-33490412.html?tag=rnav )

Depending on how important a consideration price is, it seems your best bet would be either the top-rated Samsung UN46B8500 (~$2000), or the LG 47LH90 (~$1400).

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.
