A recent miracle that still makes me smile.
My wife is 7 months pregnant (a miracle in itself). a couple weeks ago my wife had a fall. Imagine a pregnant woman going to sit in a chair and then someone pulls the chair out at the last minute. It was kinda like that, but no where near as malicious. She hurt her tail bone and was in a lot of pain. That happened early in the morning. The next day when she woke up she was a bit upset, after breakfast she confided in me that she hadn't felt the baby move since the morning of the fall. It had been on her mind all night long. Normally our baby is really active in her belly after mid-night. So my wife didn't sleep much that night because she couldn't feel the baby moving.
Her genuine, non-hormonal concern was scaring me. I didn't know what to do to comfort accept of course to call the mid-wife that had been advising us. But before I did that, I had the urge to pray. So i laid my head on her belly and prayed out-loud. "Please heavenly Father, we're really scared right now, can you give us "BOOM!" ... a sign that the baby is alright." =) Right in mid prayer the baby kicked me in the head really hard. The hardest i ever felt her kicked. My wife and I were both so shocked and so relieved. "wow, that was quick." was all my wife could say. I can still feel on my cheek where i felt her kick. And I am so joyful that our baby has been fine since then.
Call it what you will, but it was miraculous for me.
