What's George Hrab's best song?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Other top contenders [all from "Coelacanth"] would be "Think For Yourself" [also with a full horn section like "brainsbodyboth"], "Heaven Must Be Boring", and "Convenient". Probably the best known tune from his most recent album "Interrobang" [and viral video] would be "The Assumption".
Critically, I think that "Disappointed" is one of his best-crafted and produced tunes of all five albums. When Hrab performs the complex and stirring "Disappointed" with his 10-piece rock orchestra, it's a superlative experience.
Hrab's sixth album is due to release Spring 2009 and may well change the answer to your question.

M$I believe it has to be B3 - "Brainsbodyboth"!
As a drummer, songwriter, skeptic, and philosofunker, George has handcrafted amazingly funky albums full of tunes that make you smile, dance, and dare I say it... THINK.

M$This is totally mine own option, hey I could be wrong!

M$That being said, "'Ya Famous?" is a great song, I also particularly enjoy "The Assumption", "BrainsBodyBoth" and "Heaven (must be really boring)".
I can't just leave it at that, though. There is also "Cruel Spines". This is one of the best demonstrations of George going where no one else could, or would, go. Given the level of discomfort this song provides us men, maybe no one should go there. :)

M$I'm a woman. I'll go there. Short lyrics excerpt from Cruel Spines.
"Couldn't understand it
Why all the men upon entering the water
Covered up what they call the nether regions
Using a shell from a tree just like a jock strap
What was this look that they all gave him
squinting their eyes as they watched him in the water
realize that the sun would soon be daughter
Tourists won't like what he ends up taking with him
And when he pee
the gift he see
is Duty Free..."

I'm extremely fond of "Brainsbodyboth" the version that is on the album Coelacanth. It has this lovely, funky brass and bass underlying track that is great to dance to. The lyrics are done as rap. Somehow despite (or because of) the musical mixing, the song just works.
I also really like the song "Disappointed" from Interrobang. It's a first-person narrative of George losing his rose-colored glasses about a close friend and mentor. It's got a driving guitar hook, and a cool "Stairway" inspired interlude. There are a lot of inside references to skeptics and skepticism, so for those who don't know who "Carl and Michael and Steven and Jared" are (one of the lines in the song), it may not be the best.
I also really like "Lights Out" which is all about the 2003 blackout that hit most of the East coast.
"How Do You Do" is also a good one. It's all strings, with a very classical feel. It talks about a good friend of George's that he admires, and who he compares himself too, and finds himself somewhat lacking.
If I had to pick one I'd pick "Brainsbodyboth." It has a fun arrangement, is funny, is easily relatable to,and yet fairly geeky with its science and pop culture references. It essentially gives mad props to smart, sexy females (who totally deserve it).
There are many others I enjoy, mostly from his later catalogue, Coelacanth, Interrobang, and beyond (he's done a lot of work from 2006-2009 that is not yet included on an album but can be found on his podcast www.geologicpodcast.com)
I suggest downloading some of his songs and finding out for yourself which ones you like best.

M$His musical influences include Talking Heads, Frank Zappa and Prince. The Geologic Orchestra is his rock-fusion-funk-classical-jazz band. For his day/night job he is drummer for the Philadelphia Funk Authority.
Many Western New Yorkers know George as the "Man with the Healing Hands." Others know him as "the voice of the Buffalo Gladiators." Some recognize him as the former lead singer of the 80's Rock band "Hot Wax." While still others know him for his unique talent in the music industry: "impressionist, lyricist, vocalist, and producer of Buffalo’s hometown love songs."

M$Your first paragraph is correct about George hRAb, but the rest of your answer talks about a different guy, George hARb.
Also, you didn't really answer the question. I appreciate that you attempted to give information on the *artist* but the question asks about a specific *song* which you don't really go into.
Thanks for your enthusiasm, though!
Seshankris-
You are talking about two ENTIRELY different people.
There is George Hrab:

and there is George Harb:

Hrab is a singer/songwriter/podcaster and a geek-culture music icon. Please don't confuse the two.

So, what do you think George Hrab's best song is?
The album will release Spring 2010. A bit of a delay, but it will be seen well before the fourth of July.
No refutation needed. Msinformation is completely accurate and correct. I accidentally posted in the wrong place. Sorry for the confusion.
