You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

There really isn't much a a trick, you need to have text on your pages that incorporate your keywords. We have a link to our sitemap at the bottom of the page with makes it easy for search engine to find all the pages. The sitemap also incorporates pages for each of the keywords with text tuned to address those particular keywords.
I saw a presentation on SEO ar Mesh09 and one of the statistics cited was that 60% of your Google juice comes from your page and 40% from inward links. How do you get inward links? No, magic, have content people want to link to.

On a larger scale, Miro looks to have some nice SEO:

However, it's very difficult to give you a strong example of SEO. SEO is about helping search engines to correctly categorize your pages. The strategy for each site in each industry is a little different.

M$Pictures of celebrities and gossip seems to be very popular.
I don't think that Zimbio spends a ton of time thinking about SEO. I think that most of it comes naturally.
First and foremost, they have great looking, sharp and attractive photographs. They also have poignant, clear articles that focus on the popular celebrity and entertainment news that a wide demographic enjoys.
Their inbound links from blogs and other sites are outstanding but more importantly, they simply write about things that people want to read about.
Looking at their code, directory layout, etc... everything is clean and easily categorized by the SE's.
So, I think that these 2 simple things lend themselves well to little or no "SEO Magic".
Squidoo is a different beast... their lenses are SE gold and something I think every members area should take note of.
