What's a reasonably priced way to ship Chipotle burritos (and some guac) to Ottawa, Canada?

I am located near Chicago, and I'm trying to send some Chipotle burritos to Ottawa, Canada.

I had originally planned to send some deep dish pizza, but discovered it would be $40 to ship a pizza that is only 9 INCHES!! And it's from a place I personally consider to be sub-par. $40 for a single 9 inch pizza is absurd, no matter what your perspective.

Seeing as how this girl is in Canada, she is starved for Chipotle burritos (which she loves). I am looking for a plan to ship 4-6 burritos with some guacamole on the side that won't end up costing me twice the value of the burritos themselves.

Any information is considered helpful, such as shipping concerns, border crossing concerns (It's a birthday gift, which I think is duty free?), places that may already have procedures in place to take care of this sort of thing, etc.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Freeze it. If you want it to stay fresh. A frozen chipotle burrito still tastes amazing after reheating in an oven at 350 for about 20 minutes, I have done this before. (do not microwave, it will be nasty) freeze the burrito and send it in a small cooler made for a six pack include an ice pack or two. This will buy you some time then just send it by normal mail, should be there in two days, it may even be perfectly thawed out by that time requiring only a minor reheating, Might as well send a few slices of frozen pizza while you're at it! Great idea, must be for someone very special.

Might need to include a bottle of Billy May's famous Chipotle-Away

There is now a Chipotle Mexican Grill in Toronto at the Life Square. Call them at 416 596 8600. Ask politely if they can do something to accommodate your order. I think they will.

If they don't, you can have your order delivered to a Fedex or similar service to have it shipped to Ottawa, but I think this will be an expensive option.

Perhaps it's best if you tell Chipotle your story. If the first person you talk to isn't helpful, call again, until you speak with a helpful person. You can also try speaking with the manager.

If it still doesn't work, call the Chipotle headquarters at 303-595-4000. I don't think it's a big problem for them to help you.
