Whats a good wedding site ?

Looking to get married soon wondering where I can find wedding vendors for planning my wedding.
Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The site below is really great. It has a lot of information about wedding planning including decorations for all types of weddings, at different locations, in different seasons, for the cake, for your stationary and your car. There are also ideas for different wedding themes, like western.

There are tons of great wedding planning sites, but I think the one that gets the least love is definitely Get Married. Their site at http://www.getmarried.com has tons of great wedding planning tools, hundreds of videos, articles, a magazine in print and even a TV show. Not sure when it airs, but I think it's on WeTV and I'm sure you can find out on their site. Definitely Get Married.

I too have just started planning my wedding and have been looking for something different than The Knot, Brides, Wedding Channel etc. I just found this website - Elegala.com - http://www.elegala.com

It is not quite as extensive as the other big sites, but what I really like about it is that it's less overwhelming and cluttered with ads like the other ones. It was much easier for me to find what I needed quickly... The best part is that every venue on the site provides their complete vendor list - making it easy to book your vendors from a preferred list. You can also download every venue's complete planning guide (the one that venues usually give you in person when you visit the site). This way - you have all the information you need in one place.

The site has tons of useful advice, how-to guides, ideas, photo galleries, printable checklists etc. to help you plan various aspects of your wedding.

Hope this helps - good luck!

If you're looking for favors, etc. I would recommend Products With Personality (http://www.pwponline.com). I used them for my own wedding - they have a b&m; store in Pennsylvania in addition to the web site - and think the customer service is great.

Other good resources are http://www.craigslist.org where you can find vendors by region and http://www.cheap-wedding-solutions.com - a great place to find a bargain

I don't know about that site. I just searched and got two reception sites in the Seattle metropolis area. I'd much rather use MyWedding.com. Advertising for vendors is very reasonable which makes their pool large for every city.
Another is WeddingWire. The ability to easily access vendor reviews is wonderful. The other tools they offer to brides are great as well!
Good luck & aloha!
