what's a good .mov file splitter for the mac that allows you to split by time and not file size?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Directions taken from forum in source below:
1. Open up your big file
2. Find the frame where you want to split
3. Press 'o' which sets the 'out point'
4. Press command-T or go to Edit->Trim (first part of the movie should be all that remains)
5. Go to File->Save As..., select the proper extension (avi, mp4, mov, whatever your file currently is), name your file accordingly and save. You now have the first part of your split movie.

To do the second half, repeat the process, except press 'i' instead of 'o' at your split point... this'll select the second part of the movie instead of the first.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.
