What's a good domain name for an online Q and A community that's all about wine?

**DETAILS --The name must be available to buy for your answer to qualify**
To check if it's available please visit a domain registar like GoDaddy (external link to GoDaddy)

I've been itching to create a Q&A site that's all about wine and I'd love to give it a great name, so I turn to you, my favorite Mahalo peeps. What should we name our fresh new wine community? (domain must be available for purchase) Something funny? Something clever, a play on words, perhaps? Something classy, something crazy? As long as it's memorable and descriptive I'd love to hear some great available domain names for a great new wine Q&A site!

(also, if we end up using your domain name for the site I'll send you a Mahalo pack full of fun Mahalo goodies!)
Tip for best answer: M$10.54
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Ok, I have thought about this for a while and checked at GoDaddy :)

My ideas are:

Letsstartwining.com
and
Nowhiningjustwine.com
and
Wineabouteverything.com

This may be sour grapes (get it?), but I thought there were a lot better names than these. I am also upset that the asker didn't select it himself, especially after alluding that he would give the winner a bag of goodies. Shame on you, CoreyMac!

The person at a restaurant who creates the wine list, is responsible for storage and care of the restaurant's wine, and makes wine suggestions to the patrons is knows as the sommelier. I'm assuming that your site is intended to be a social community where users can ask each other for advice, etc., so I like the name Sommelier Town. (sommeliertown.com is currently available.) I like that the name has both the classy sound of the word sommelier and the homeyness of a small town.

Another name I thought of that is a bit more subtle is Perfect Pairing, playing on both the idea of wine pairings and bringing together users in the community. Surprisingly, perfectpairing.com is also available.

Or how about AllGrapesNoWrath.com? :-)

Okay Corey. I'll give you a piece of me.

Hmmm. I don't remember you talking about your love of wine, but I see what you need and I'll give you something to chew on at least.

I've clocked enough hours and time at Napa Valley and other areas throughout the US to be an intermediate official wine lush. We are a unique breed. If you know enough about wines, you'll know that the buzz from them is not like any other liquor. Since you didn't mention any specific winery (like Conundrum), I think it should have the word 'wine' in it.

With that being said, how about winebuzztalk.com?
Of course buzztalk is taken... but there's also buzztalkwine.com
(which kinda sound like a play on 'buzz talk time')

Okay... you want funny? How about spitorswallowtalk.com?

I'm just sayin'!

(I just don't thing having 'QandA' or 'Answers' in it is the way to go)

How about corkedflagon?
(I had thought flagon was another name for grapes but upon further research I found out it is also a large metal, ceramic or leather container for holding wine, ale, water, or other liquids.)
WINEANDTHINE?
VINOVILLAGE?

Just thinking ... and they are available!

After 30 minutes of trying everything possible, I hit on a good one:

"askthevine.com is available!"

I even have a logo concept for Ask The Vine: Dark red sans-serif letters, make the "i" a silhouette of a bottle whose neck extends above the other letters.

It's short and it describes exactly what you want: Wine questions...and grapes come from a vine.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE: "asktheglass.com is available! "

(I mean, I tried everything I could think of: "wineorwinenot.com is already taken."

Hi Corey,
Being a 'startup' guy for so long, I have always come to searching for new domain names. One tool that I have found particularly useful is http://www.bustaname.com/. It gives you all the related terms, and all the combinations of the terms. As of the time of writing. I have searched for 'wine', 'question', 'ask', 'anything', ....etc.
Two that I have found particularly "sound" are:
probewine.com
querywine.com

Hope this helps, and goodluck!

I like WineAboutEverything.com and AskDionysus.com, but I thought about basic names:

Vineyard.com is taken, but perhaps it can be bought at a bargain? I like it because it's easy to type and makes me imagine being in a vineyard.

Vinifera.com and Vitisvinifera.com may command a price, and I would not mind typing either.
