TV dinners are still around, except that they're usually called "frozen dinners" because Swanson still owns the "TV Dinner" trademark (and seems to be reviving it). The original foil trays were replaced with plastic as microwave ovens became popular, but the classic meals such as turkey and fried chicken are still available.
