Charles and Eddie were an American vocal duo made up of Charles Pettigrew and Eddie Chacon.
They had a worldwide smash hit with "would I lie to you" in 1992.
Sadly this was a one-hot wonder and Charles and Eddie never had any other major hits.
Eddie Chacon subsequently wrote for EMI and has written hits for Eternal, plus Conner Reeves and Hanne Boel. Chacon is now fronting the underground Los Angeles electronic glam duo, The Polyamorous Affair with his wife, Sissy Sainte-Marie.
Sadly there isn't a happy end to this post, Charles Pettigrew died of Cancer at the premature age of only 37 in April 2001.
