What would be a great food to pair with an Alsatian Gewurztraminer?

My favorite! I love Gewurztraminer and while I absolutely agree that Thai and most Asian dishes are great, don't ever rule out the possibility of pairing it with other foods. We've served Gewurztraminer with more different types of foods than any other wine, in fact - including grilled chicken dishes (that weren't spicy) and seafood (yum!).

I would enjoy sesame crusted, pan seared Ahi Tuna with a soy glaze and maybe a soba noodle salad with wilted spinach and shiitake mushrooms.

The sweet and spicy Alsatian Gewurztraminer would match nicely with the tang of the soy and the smooth texture of the seared tuna and that crispness in the sesame crust would add just the right amount of bite back to the wine.

goose liver dishes, carp cooked in nearly any manner, choucroute garni, quiche Lorraine or bacon soup. In general, it is also well suited to fatty meats and fish.

The best food for this type of wine or a Riesling is always,Thai foods, most asian dishes, sushi and some curry dishes.
