Choosing a good anime costume actually depends on your gender and your current features. If you're a woman, then of course you'd pick a woman character and if you're a guy, you'd pick a guy anime character instead. Aside from the physical features, you could also depend your choice on the character/s you want as of the moment as well as what anime is popular nowadays (although for sure there are lots of the same character in the event).
Naruto is quite popular nowadays plus costumes are easy to spot so picking one of the characters from that anime is good. There are also wide range of options so whether you're a boy or a girl, you will never go wrong with picking one from the anime Naruto. Even your dog can go and party with you. XD
