What world event or occurrence would you like to see made into a movie?

I saw the Pearl Harbor movie again after so many years. I enjoyed the movie as usual and off course used up some Kleenex because I couldn’t help the tears that came down my eyes. I also began to wonder about some current world events that might be rated highly if made into movies. I thought about the Haiti earthquakes and how tragic it was. Do you know of any world event or occurrence you would like to see made into a movie?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Personally I am a visual person. I find it confusing to read stories about economics and so forth. I'd love to see a factual, yet easy to follow story line movie on Hurricane Katrina. Not only just the hurricane, but the events afterward that lead such an economical mess. I guess you could say the economic effects of Hurricane Katrina.

I want to actually visualize and see why this disaster (which I think is an awful thing) hurt the U.S. so badly. I want the economical standpoint of the damage, and how it has played a role in the current financial situation we have today.

I would eventually like to watch a factual movie on the Haiti earthquakes. However, I don't know if I am ready to see it yet. I feel sometimes it's best that people begin the healing process before releasing something like that.

Most definitely the American Revolutionary War (17751783). It is the war that started it all. This fight began as a conflict between the Kingdom of Great Britain and first thirteen former British colonies in the North America's, and concluded in a global war between several of Europe's greatest powers. If we had lost this war who knows where America would be today. I think this would make a great big budget, live action movie. I remember watching the low grade history movies in middle and high school and I was bored out of my mind. I think if there was a live action movie about this and other conflicts it might get kids more interested in History and learning about History. I know it would have made me a lot more interested than I was growing up.

have you seen the patriot?
though that may just be more personal and not get into as much of the big picture things.

It may already be a movie that I'm not aware of but the story of the "uni bomber" would be a great movie. Entertaining for action fans, and informative for people who don't care about explosions.
