M$a) Tsunami = HEAD OF IMMIGRATION = If we were affected by a possible tsunami, it could be on a scale to affect part or the whole country. Being part of the immigration sector could enable me to advise other countries to allow people to immigrate for a temporary period until it is safe to return.
b) Hurricane or Cyclone = INFORMER = People need to be informed about an upcoming hurricane or cyclone. With satellites monitoring the oceans consistently, we are instantly provided with information as to the next storm to hit us. To be able to save everyone, running door to door informing everyone that is in the local area who may not have heard the news through means of media or communication.
c) Earthquake = DOCTOR = Often, Earthquakes result in a lot of injuries. I would put myself into the position of a doctor so I can provide aid to the people that have been affected in their homes, on the street, at school or at work.
d) Meteorite = LEADER = Although a meteorite should probably burn in the Earth's atmosphere, cases like the crater in Mexico are possibilities. The results of the meteor would cause mega tsunamis as well as many of the things you have mentioned in this question. If I were to be able to choose any job possible, I would put myself as the leader of a country and be able to control the crisis. I think that many several political leaders only speak and don't act, for example Gordon Brown.
e) Volcano = RESCUING = The volcano eruption would be a quick event and therefore would need instant action. I would consider placing myself as a position of rescuing as many citizens as possible via helicopter or other means.

M$Tsunami: very destructive and scary, but hard to film very well after the first wave.
Hurricane: So big that cameras have to be everywhere during and after to cover it. Impressive, very destructive, but it doesn't have a good focal point.
Cyclone: Depending on the weather, a tornado can be filmed very well and do a lot of destruction. It's also mobile, making it unpredictable and far reaching.
Earthquake: Very destructive and scary, but again, not good focal point.
Meteorite: Probably the least destructive, unless it also causes an earthquake
Volcano: My choice. Not only is it an obvious focal point for all the cameras to focus on, but it actually glows, so you can see it in any weather. Plus, it gives warnings, so everyone is ready to film it, but you can't outrun lava, and it can devastate huge areas with lava and ash.
