What will be the first HTC Android phone on AT&T?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It appears that the HTC Desire will be the first HTC Android phone on AT&T. Rumor has it that AT&T will be offering the HTC Desire in May or June of 2010.

The HTC Lancaster was supposed to be the first AT&T Android phone ever, according to an article published in August of 2009.

The Motorola Backflip was AT&T's first Android phone though, and the Dell Aero was AT&T's second Android phone. They beat the HTC Lancaster to the punch.

This is wierd, because HTC had an Android phone out in Australia in February of 2009, the HTC Dream.

Because of this, I think the HTC / AT&T Android release date is more a question of haggling between AT&T and HTC, than a question of technology. They are likely talking terms and prices and contracts. Look for the HTC logo on any contract that you sign with AT&T, once they offer HTC phones. ;-)
