Manolo Blahnik has been designing shoes in Europe for over 30 years but became a household name in the United States with the help of shows like Sex and The City. For over six seasons Sex and The City became a show known for its fashions almost more than anything else. At the end of the third season Carrie Bradshaw gets mugged in the street by gunpoint by a criminal who forces her to hand over her Manolo Blahnik, a huge moment for the shoes brand. Carrie was known for her shoe and shopping obsession and her sometimes outrageous but always fashionable outfits. As the show grew in popularity, wardrobe stylists no longer had to ask for clothes, designers began to just send them. Carrie and the girls wore clothes from many fashion designers such as Chanel, Givenchy, Christian Louboutin and Fendi.
