What was the most uncomfortable question that a child (any age) asked you? What was your answer?

Just spent a day as a parent volunteer for a sex ed activity at my son's middle school. 15 min. of questions about hermaphrodites.

One question: 'Wouldn't it be weird to have a male GYN messing around down there?'

Answer: It doesn't really matter whether it is a male or a female doctor, it is not a comfortable exam in the first place. I followed this with frank detail as to why. Followed again by the importance of yearly GYN exams as adults and when you are sexually active, because I freaked out a couple of the girls.

Most uncomfortable/stumper question: 'Why/how do male homosexuals like intercourse?'

Answer (after a bit of a pause): I recommended that they ask someone with a little more experience on the subject. There were a number of people that they could ask.
Tip for best answer: M$2.00

"Are you my Daddy?"
She asked this when I was twenty three years old.
I knew the moment that the three year old asked the question that what I was doing was wrong, and it was then that I began to understand that a complete disbelief in religion did not excuse me from developing a set of values that I could be proud of and would not hurt the feelings of a little girl. I broke off my relationship with her mother.

A friend of mine had a younger sister around 3. Mind you, I was around the younger sister since she was about 10 months old. Anyways we were standing around in the kichen and I noticed she kept staring at me. She touched her arm, then touched mine, she did this about three more times. Then she spurts out " why are you dark, and I'm not?" I could see the family was somewhat embarrassed by this, so I answered her. I told her that where I was born the sun was shining day and night. I then told her all kids like to play and run just like her no matter if they are darker or lighter. She said "okay". And that was it, she wanted us to play dolls after that. It was a curiousity, and my answer satisfied it. Now I am sure it will not be so easy when my little ones begin to ask all sorts of questions. I will be on Mahalo seeking answers :)

This reminds me of the time when my daughter was about four and she informed me that she was orange. She said that I was peach and her father was brown, so she was then orange. I told her that I wanted to be purple instead. To which she replied, 'Mommy, don't be silly.'

When my nephew was 3, I took him to the bathroom in a store one day. After he was finished going, but before pulling up his pants, and he pointed at his private area, and said, "What are these for? These right here?" I said, "Well . . . not much right now. You should ask your dad."

Boy, oh boy...to pick just one...

My daughter once asked me why I had hair "down there". She was two at the time, and not really old enough to understand much of any explanation. I told her it was just something Mommies have. That satisfied her.

Another time she asked me, loudly, in a store, why my bottom was so big. She was three. And everyone around us was turning red in the face from trying not to laugh out loud. I was pregnant at the time, and it wasn't the only thing that was big.

I'm curious. Does your son's school let just anyone volunteer for such a thing or does the school have a screening process to verify credentials and expertise?

As to your question; I had a young man ask me several years ago what he could do for a friend of his that intended to commit suicide. I told him that he should tell me who it was. After he'd done so, I told him that he'd done the right thing and that I would speak with his friend's parents. I did.

I stayed cool while we were talking about it, but afterwards I admitted to my wife that it blew me away. The most difficult decisions she and I faced as teens had to do with clothing brands.

I am not sure what their screening process is or if there is one. I wasn't there to teach any of the sessions, but as a 'pod' leader ('Invasion of the Body Snatchers' anyone?) - making sure the students got from session to session and direct/lead/encourage/start the discussion sessions. The questions came up during a discussion session among the group when reviewing the previous day's sessions.

My little brother was 5 was walking on the sidewalk with me one day, and we passed a group of bikers outside a shop. Of coarse as soon as we see the first one, hes the largest, most burley biker you'll ever see.. with his bandana and leather jacket and he was leaning there picking his nails and he had that whole, squinted eye look going on.. when my brother speaks out
** HEy!! wait... Tywer why does that man want to be a pirate?! **

OTHER
My little sister randomly at the table asked my mom.. .
* So how come the stork can get you pregnant but daddy cant!? Can daddy not do the job!? **

Q: How did the baby get in Mommy's belly?
A: When mommy and daddy really love each other, God allows a seed to be planted inside of mommy, which grows in to baby. (for kids less than 5)
(For bigger kids - refer to a kids book called 'Where Did I Come From?")

Amusing in a certain sense, but not helpful as (1) it is doubtful that this was asked directly of you (http://encyclopediadramatica.com/How_is_babby_formed%3F) and you didn't indicate your response to the question.
