What was the most epic troll ever?

You can interpret this anyway you want. Good, bad, stupid, legendary, online, offline, current era, ancient history. Old school definition of the word troll or looser newer usage.

Troll as a noun OR a verb is OK.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Chop Suey.

The "chinese" dish.

When it was new, it was considered exotic and fancy in the US after some time (early 1900s) - probably equivalent to sushi these days. Of course, the dish doesn't really exist in China, and is literally translated to "odds and ends"... if you were to ask a chinese person in china for chop suey, you'd probably get scraps or leftovers, if not confusion as to what you're asking about.

Here's a funny and informative video by Jennifer 8 Lee about this topic and the whole deal of what "Chinese" food is here in the US... and other countries:

I interpret a 'troll' as someone who lurks on message boards and tries to destroy constructive conversation because of the anonymity that the internet offers.

I present to you “Sumer” the biggest A-hole on the Google AAPL finance message boards. Google has failed to ban this user for blatant abuse of other users, and the 600+ messages of hate. Epic Troll..

Rumpelstilskin was a goblin. How can you confuse a goblin with a troll? John McCain is, by most accounts, human.

A strange question. Trolls are interesting and highly varied; but, "epic"? Certainly the trolls who come first to mind are Bill Huggins, Bert, and Tom in Tolkien's epic. But they play only a small role. There are many Trolls in Diskworld, Pratchet's epic series of wonderful novels, but none really stand out. I think that to find an epic troll, one should go back to the homeland of the Trolls, Norway. The King of the Trolls in Pyr Gynt is the Troll of the the classic epic of Norway, and has had the attention of both the great poet and playwright Ibsen and the classic composition of Grieg. "In the Hall of the Mountain King" says it all, without words.

Any post titled "Airplane on a treadmill" wins the award for most epic troll ever. After it gets banned, try using "Helicopter on a turntable". :P
