What was the funniest/best fortune you've ever found in a fortune cookie?

Tip for best answer: M$1.10
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I took my children to eat at a chinese buffet a few years ago. My youngest opened up his fortune cookie and it said "Oh Thank you, Thank you for finally letting me out of this cookie". We had so much fun with it that I put it into his scrap book.

That's hilarious! It was like a "fortune genie" in a weird sort of way :-)

Every Friday night when I first started work and my children were young we would have Friday night Chinese at a little place near our house and the fortune cookies were probably the really 'special' part of the night. Its been years but I still have some in my wallet! so BEST but not funny.....

"You are artistic and will be successful" - opened by my daughter who is doing ART!

"You will be surrounded by joy" - opened by me when I really needed the boost!

So, I kept them in my wallet - they were perfect fortunes at the time!

I like it when fortune cookies *actually* end up doing what they're 'supposed' to do! I think the best one I ever found (which still makes me laugh when I think about it) was:

"Support literacy; buy a box of fortune cookies today"

Classic!

The best fortune cookie fortune I received was when I was out to lunch at a Chinese restaurant with some business colleagues (mostly men). Someone mentioned that you were supposed to add the words "in bed" after you read the fortune....imagine my surprise (and the laughs) when my fortune was:

"Your colleagues appreciate your creativity and flexibility..."

About 12 years ago, I got one that said "You're irresistible this month, ride with it." According to some guy on twitter, he received the same on Oct 27th. Look how long that saying has been floating around. However, this saying is funny that I received it... because I am very reserved, modest and backward turned. It didn't fit me at all.

Maybe that month 12 years ago was my one shot haha.
