What was the first original video game that was ever created?
Does anyone know what the very first original video game that was created? If you do, what was the name of it and what was it about? What year did this video game come out, and who created it? Where did this person get the idea to make such a hit being the video game? Do you think they knew it would become so popular, and branch out to several different things like it has today? Or do you think they just thought it was a great idea for the moment?

I believe it was Pong, but I will check that out. Woops. Nope. "Before 'Pong,' There Was 'Tennis for Two'."
According to Brookhaven National Laboratory, "Tennis for Two was first introduced on October 18, 1958, at one of the Lab’s annual visitors’ days. Two people played the electronic tennis game with separate controllers that connected to an analog computer and used an oscilloscope for a screen. The game’s creator, William Higinbotham, was a nuclear physicist who had worked on the Manhattan Project and lobbied for nuclear nonproliferation as the first chair of the Federation of American Scientists."
So there you have it. Yes, technically Tennis for Two was the first. Still, the first video game that most of us remember and relate to is Pong.
