In the year 1021, an Iraqi Arab scientist wrote a book where he discussed the basic concept of a camera first appeared where it discussed the usage of a pinhole or lens to focus an image on a screening surface.
The year 1814 is said to be landmark year in history of the camera where the first photograph was taken during the year by Joseph Nicephohore Niepceusing a sliding wooden camera box that expose bitumen coated pewter plate to light.
Niepce is considered to be the one who created the first camera.
On the other hand, Charles and Vincent Chevalier both French were the one who built the first camera that could produce photos. The earliest camera don't have a mechanism to preserve images since the screen where the images was projected could not save the image permanently.
