Famous novel "Jaws" authored by Peter Benchley, published in 1974 is a story of a great white man-eating shark preying near a tourist resort, and the expedition of three brave men to kill it.
Jaws, published in 1974, stayed on bestseller list for 44 weeks.
Benchley also wrote screenplay for its film adaption along with with Carl Gottlieb. Film was titled as "Jaws" and directed by Steven Spielberg.
