The investigation continues and nothing is being ruled out, but the conditions sure sound like icing on the wings could have been the cause. When I lived in Indiana years ago there was a similar crash that took place in the northern part of the state, similarly sized plane in similar weather conditions somewhere between snow and rain...that would be my guess at this point.
