What was/is your favorite NES (nintendo entertainment system) game and why?

Tip for best answer: M$2.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The Legend of Zelda, of course. Adventure, fighting, puzzles, length, replay value, never ending music that got stuck in your head for a decade.

It was the first in a huge franchise and had it all. Everyone wanted a piece of the tri-force and to be the first to defeat Gannon.

It really gave people a lot to strive for in a way that other 8-bit games didn't. This game is just a classic.

wuuoohh...definitely Final Fantasy series, Contra, Mario Bros and errr duck hunter or something..which use a gun to play..lol

Final Fantasy for the rpg game was always be a wicked game because it strong story element and nice gameplay. the minus is we can't save the game anywhere because at that time there isnt any memory card lol..still worth to play

Contra and Mario Bros are the best game since it deliver real fun to me and my friends...i dont know but the adrenaline pumped so high and many heartbreaking moments when i play these games..

Super Mario Brothers
What fun and many, many hours it took to complete the whole game when it first came out. My husband and I would stay up late playing it only to wake up early to our girls playing it. What fun for all.

Final Fantasy. Great music and flexibility in creating your party made it highly replayable. Plus it was fairly non - linear with a large world to explore. IT really felt epic in scope and the story was enjoyable as well.

I also Enjoyed Ultima: Quest of the Avatar which was a port of Ultime IV for the same reasons (and an honorable mention to Dragon Warrior)
