and also from recollection of baracks tv address shortly before the election and inauguration , barack sometimes referred to his step mother as sarah .
And with regards to your first question, I would hypothesize that you where referring to what baracks fathers favorite name was for him.
I really can't answer this question with certainty due to the fact of the very short time span that barack had with his father especially in early childhood.
