The 9th US president William Henry Harrison was best known for gaining national fame for leading U.S. forces against American Indians at the Battle of Tippecanoe in 1811.

Also, as a general in the War of 1812, his most notable contribution was a victory at the Battle of the Thames in 1813, which brought an end to hostilities in his region.

William Henry Harrison also got aclaim for running a successful horsebreeding enterprise.

He died on his thirty-second day in office.
