Also, there is the Tekken series, which basically uses a similar fighting system compared to Dynasty Warriors. The latest version of Tekken] was released in 2009, and is the sixth iteration. the game can be played on the PlayStation 3.
Also, and this is a bit of a stretch, how about Super Street Fighter IV? The game will be released in about a week, and is looking very promising. (see the video below)
Alternatively, if you want a bit more storyline than that, how about looking at the new Final Fantasy XIII? Not sure the fighting system in that game will appeal to you as much as with dynasty Warriors though.

M$One really fun game is Warriors Orochi because it gives both games in one, a good plot line, and also some amusing movies in between fights. Samurai Warriors is up to their second game I believe expansion packs you got some hours of game play
There is of course sure if you done this already the Dynasty Warrior 'expansions' like 3-4-5 Xtreme legends and I believe that number four has another expansion the other two do not have but the name escapes me.
I love Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors. When all else fails you can always just either restart the games from scratch or you can try harder modes.
Myself :B
