Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Any time you serve rice, beans are a good choice. Legumes, like black beans or pinto beans. Together, the rice and beans make a complete protein and the combination is actually a meat substitute.

There are a ton of bean recipes or you can make your own by adding whatever seasonings you like as they cook. Black beans and rice is a traditional southern dish that goes well with chicken, I'll leave you a link to a few good recipes:

It's hard to argue against black beans and rice (yum yum), but I'd have to match my veggie more to the chicken and go for Corn on the Cob, maybe roasted in the husk right in the fire! DE-licious!!

Here's some instructions

One of my favorite ways to prepare corn is over a campfire. Remove excess silk from the tip, and soak the husks in water for at least a half hour. Roast over the coals so the kernels steam a little. The husks will char in the fire, but the corn inside will be moist, tender and sweet. Remove the hot, cooked corn with thongs, peel back the husk, remove the silk, eat the pure sweetness and throw the cob and husk back into the blazing fire.

Here's another twist for cooking it on the grill:
