What variety of eatable bananas you can grow best in Southern California?
I live in LA, less than a mile from the ocean and have a bunch of banana "trees" growing in my backyard producing very good tasting fruit, however I don't know what variety these bananas are (it came with the house). Bananas are a bit smaller then the ones you see in the supermarket, flesh have a bit softer texture and it has very nice apple like aftertaste.
I'm curious what kind of bananas these could be and what kind bananas in general would be suited best for Southern California climate?
go bananas!
