Hi @chillcon65!
I found the different types of wine at hinsdalecellars.com. Their reference is from Anthony Dias Blue's Pocket Guide to Wine, 2006.
These are :
1. Barbera - a highly adaptable type of grape grown in Italy's Piedmont region. These wines have a lively cherry flavor with good acidity.
2. Cabernet Franc is a popular red wine of Bordeaux. It produces dark, rich wine with a smooth texture.
3. Cabernet Sauvignon - this is the best known grape in the world. The grape can grow almost anywhere and still produce a consistent recognizable flavor.
4. Chardonnay is the most popular among white grapes because it is gorgeous minerally white wines that has rich and tropical fruit flavors of California Chardonnay.
5. Grenache is extremely high in alcohol and rich in spicy flavor of pepper, gingerbread and coffee.
6. Malbec produce rich and deep purple wines with lush fruit and great structure.
7. Merlotis smooth, soft, and drinkable red wine low in tannins.
You will find the complete list at the source.
