A psychiatrist is a physician who is certified in treating mental disorders.
There are different types of mental disorders, these are:
1. Anxiety disorder - those who have specific phobias, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, agoraphobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
2. Mood disorder - unusual and prolonged sadness, melancholia or despair. Also know as major depression or clinical depression. Bipolar disorder or manic depression which are abnormally high or pressured mood states known as mani or hypomania.
