What type of tea leaf is best packaged as loose tea?
What English brand of loose tea is most popular in the US? What is the best way to preserve flavor for loose tea leaves?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

In the U.S., Twinings is probably the most popular English brand of tea. However, PG Tips is much more popular in the U.K. Yorkshire tea is also popular. But both Twinings and PG Tips sell most of their tea as tea bags. In loose-leaf tea, it's a much more diverse marketplace, and there is no clear leader. A lot of black teas are marketed as English Breakfast in the U.S. whereas in England they're just labelled "tea":

In order to properly store tea so as to preserve the flavor of the loose-leaf tea, store the tea in an airtight container, away from sunlight. More detail about storage, and how long tea stays fresh, can be found here:
