what type of license do i need if i want to record a rap version of a rock song useing the original instermental and my lyrics

for example: hall&oates /maneater. same title and their instermental, but my rap lyrics

You're gonna need a license from the copyright holder in the form of a mechanical or compulsory license.

A mechanical license allows you too reproduce copyrighted musical compositions for use on CDs, LPs, cassettes, etc.
