depending on the country you live in; cause some countries still use asbetos and that causes lung cancer, and mesothelioma. In alot of homes Radon Gas can be an issue and they do sell detectors for things like radon and so on. Carbon monoxide detectors are a good thing to have especially if gas is used in the home. Check your town because they maybe required
