What type of horror movies do you prefer to watch?

The best horror movies have a little bit of humor, suspense, and horror, like real life. I think a movie is scarier when the action takes place in the light of day. First because you can see what's going on rather than everything hidden in the dark. Second because you don't expect it in the light of day. You think you're safe in sunlight or daylight and when you're not it's twice as scary. I can't stand cheap B movies with no name actors. Too much fake blood and guts, been there, done that. Setting is important too. I don't fly on planes and never expect to, so movies like Snakes On A Plane don't scare me. It's got to be somewhere I'm likely to be and feel safe in, that is scary.

I prefer to watch Japanese horror movies. If you are a fan of foreign films, you should check out some movies by Takashi Miike, a Japanese director. A lot of blood, twists, and odd comedy. Altogether, a good mix of genres and great cinematography.

I love watching scary movies about ghosts and spirits! I can't stand to watch movies that are just violent and murder!
