I always think it interesting that people, and women tend to be especially guilty of this, deliberately mistake what they like for what the opposite sex will like. Women, for instance, will go to great expense over say fingernails or shoes to make themselves look good, which a guy will practically never notice. As you point out, what car a guy drives isn't likely to get a gal's attention often. It probably would if it was something really unusual, such as a Rolls Royce at one end or a '74 Chevy at the other. I'd guess a convertible sports car might might get some favorable attention, since quite a few gals regard them as fun. I've never owned a car that seemed to help myself, but then I've never taken sex appeal into consideration when buying a car.
