“Heavy Rain,” made for the PS3, is a single player action adventure game. The game follows four characters as they attempt to solve the mystery of the Origami killer, a serial murderer. The game doesn’t have a fixed storyline; as the player makes decisions, it affects future scenes and outcomes. “Heavy Rain” is more of an interactive fiction game than a role playing game. The game features four main characters: a retired cop, a photojournalist, an FBI profiler and a depressed man. If the character in play is killed, the others are still able to be played. The game plays as a noir thriller, with very mature content and graphic depictions of violence. It is rated M for mature audiences due to violence, nudity, sexual content, strong language and drug use. It was rated 2010 Game of the Year by “Gamespy.” New Line Cinema has purchased the film rights for “Heavy Rain”
